Memorial Day Campaign
In these challenging times, it is very important that we do not forget those who gave their lives for us and made the ultimate sacrifice. We ask that you join us during the Memorial Day holiday to raise $10,000 to endow the Robert A. Davis Memorial Scholarship to honor the legacy of PFC Robert A. Davis, the first from Chester County to be fatally wounded in combat during the Vietnam War. A decorated war hero, he received the Bronze Star with valor, the Purple Heart, and other national and state honors for shielding his fellow soldiers. Any tax-deductible support that you can provide—large or small—helps celebrate PFC Bobby Davis’s heroism and the sacrifice of others who served.
Our mission is to keep Bobby's legacy alive as we embrace his love for farming by encouraging and assisting high school students from the southeastern Chester County area major in agriculture. This includes a student interested in areas such as nutrition, physical and mental health, business, marketing, animal and plant sciences, engineering, and resource management, among others. Our philosophy is that agriculture plays a large part in the advancement of our economy and is a symbol of American strength, prosperity as well as a pathway to reducing disease and mental health issues in our society.
Our overall goal is only made possible through the generous financial support we receive from family, friends, and community like you. We sincerely hope that you will donate today, and we thank you in advance for your contribution.
The Oxford Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3), is the fiscal sponsor for Robert A. Davis (RAD) Memorial. To donate, simply click on the Donate button at www.oxfordeducationalfoundation.org.

The presentation focuses on alumni engagement in the celebration of five one-room schools, particularly VillaNova where PFC Robert A. “Bobby” Davis attended. Several of his classmates who regularly attend the reunion and who consider themselves as Bobby’s best friends will be interviewed. For this event, questions asked will focus on Bobby’s character during his early school days. From his love for baseball, dream of raising Black Angus and love for family, Bobby’s kind and gentle nature will be revealed through the eyes of his classmates.
